Yosemite in the Winter

I took these pictures on a trip in February of 2004. It was in the 40's and the snow was rapidly melting, but in shaded areas there was still quite a bit. Many of the trails were packed snow and ice and the footing was at times precarious.

View Medium or Large image.	Bare trees, snow, and Yosemite falls There is a trail that snakes along the Merced river. From many places on it you can see Yosemite falls. Here, I was standing on the banks of the river, looking back toward the falls. There is a cluser of bare trees on the left, with snow-covered ground and Yosemite falls in the distance.
