Sentinel Dome

There is a popular hike along the road to Glacier Point that takes you to the top of Sentinel Dome. It isn't very steep (except at the very end) and you get a good view.

View Medium or Large image.	Dead jeffery pine on Sentinel Dome The knarled remains of this tree stand in mute testament to the harsh conditions it endured. This is the Jeffery Pine that Ansel Adams took a well known photo of. It died in 1976 but remained standing until 2003. This photo is from 2001, a couple of years before it fell over.
