Genus Colchicum, also called autumn crocus (but it isn't a real crocus) or naked ladies. They flower in the fall but the leaves don't appear until the spring. A low-growing short flower with six petals. Each petal is white to the inside then turns purple. The long stamens have bright yellow pollen. (This is either Colchicum autumnale or Colchicum bornmuelleri.)
