up to the fence like these people were, you now have to stay on the
opposite side of the street.

The Smithsonian Castle. This was the first Smithsonian building,
now it is just the visitor center and offices.
The Jefferson Memorial at dusk. Taken on the Fourth of July, before the fireworks started. Hundreds of people are sitting on the steps at the base.

from the George Washington Parkway in Virginia, looking across the
Cherry Blossoms in Washington. Each spring the cherry trees bring tens of thousands of tourists to West Potomac Park to see the blooms. Take a look at all the pictures.
